Anorthite Ceramic Based on Loess Loam
The possibility of obtaining anorthite ceramic based on loess loam, possessing the functional properties of technical ceramic, is examined. When calcium-containing waste from sugar production — defecation mud and lime fines — is used in the CaO–Al 2 O 3 –SiO 2 system as a mineralizer to obtain anort...

system as a mineralizer to obtain anorthite ceramics, anorthite formation and its synthesis by means of high-temperature synthesis were achieved. Experimental investigations led to the creation of a material possessing high mechanical strength, wear resistance, and low water absorption metric. Thus, it was shown that the mineral anorthite can be obtained in isothermal mixtures ‘loess-like loam-lime fines’ and ‘loess-like loams-defecation mud’ at lower temperatures (950 – 1100°C) than in conventional mixtures (≥ 1200°C). |
