Description
Summary:The atomic radial distribution function of an amorphous metal alloy of composition Al 85 Ni 10 Nd 5 is analyzed using a fragmentary model. A comparative analysis of the most probable interatomic distances in the alloy and in possible compounds based on it show the presence of crystalline nuclei of the following phases in it: Al 3 Nd, Al 3 Ni 2 , Al 3 Ni, and Al. Most likely, the quantitative distribution of the detected phases is as follows: 5Al 3 Nd + 4Al 3 Ni 2 + 2Al 3 Ni + 52Al. The crystallized alloy contains Al and Al 3 Ni. Some of the lines of the Debyegram of the crystallized alloy are not identified.
