Description
Summary:The article is devoted to the benefits of traditional computer-aided design systems and building information modeling, used by the capital facilities design, construction and operation companies in order to reduce the operator’s role in the modern and advanced computing systems when making the design model of a structure. The proposed approaches and the capability expansion of existing automation algorithms are aimed to reduce routine, tiring and monotonous professional actions of a designer and to improve the use of the employee’s potential at the time of decision-making. An example of the calculation of the stress-strain state for the transport infrastructure facility under various loads combinations is considered, the described sequence of actions allows the designer to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of modern technologies and to direct the development of BIM-technologies in the nearest future.
