Summary: | The objective of the present work was to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of the poorly water-soluble drug, prochlorperazine maleate (PCM), by preparing nanoparticles using wet media milling method. The first screening design (Plackett–Burman) was applied to screen the significant factors among all the factors. Then, final nanoparticles were optimized by Box–Behnken design and evaluated for independent variables viz. the amount of Pluronic F127, amount of PCM, and milling speed on dependent variables such as particle size, saturated solubility, and dissolution efficiency at 5 min.
