Member States of the WHO European Region are currently facing high migratory pressure, and violence and injury among refugees and migrants travelling to and living in the Region is a major health risk. The development and implementation of interventions to prevent and effectively deal with such incidences are necessary.
The main findings of the WHO technical guidance Strategies and interventions on preventing and responding to violence and injuries among refugees and migrants will be presented as well as best practice examples from countries. Existing regulations and laws for the prevention of violence and protection of refuges and migrants across the WHO European Region will be discussed as well as recommended strategies and interventions:
