Description
Summary:A 54-year-old male patient reported to the ophthalmic plastics and ocular oncology clinic of our institution (LV Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India) in September, 2015, to seek a consultation for an ocular surface lesion in his right eye. Time domain anterior segment optical coherence tomography showed a hyper-reflective, irregularly thickened epithelium with intensely hyper-reflective surface keratin deposits, with areas of back shadowing corresponding to the thicker regions of the lesion, and a hypo-reflective clear space along the base of the lesion. At the most recent follow-up, 4 years and 5 months after surgical excision, he had no recurrence of the tumour and continued to have remission of symptoms of Crohn's disease on maintenance therapy with oral azathioprine (125 mg daily in two divided doses of 75 mg and 50 mg each, with monthly monitoring of haematological parameters).
