Summary: | Gazella subgutturosa
has been listed as a vulnerable species by IUCN in recent years for illegal hunting, habitat destruction and degradation. In this study, we firstly sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome of subspecies
G. subgutturosa yarkandens
in Xinjiang China by the next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology. The length of whole mt-genome is 16,436 bp long, with gene arrangement and composition similar to other related species. The topology structure of phylogeny tree shows that
Nanger
and
Eudorcas
are grouped as sister taxon, and both of them are closer with genus Gazella than Saiga. The results will serve as a helpful reference for further studies on the conservation genetics of subfamily Antilopinae. |
