.
Effect of different systemic, non-systemic and combi fungicides were studied for the management of bean rust. Under in vitro conditions azoxystrobin, difenoconazole + azoxystrobin, pyraclostrobin + metiram, kresoxim - methyl, fluopyram + tebuconazole, trifloxystrobin + tebuconazole, propiconazole + difenoconazole resulted in cent per cent inhibition of urediniospore germination at 200 ppm concentration. Difenoconazole + azoxystrobin provided up to 96 h post-infection activity while non-systemic fungicides i.e. mancozeb and chalorothalonil were found least effective with 100%. For effective management of this devastating disease activities of various fungicides (strobilurins and EBI’s) having different modes of action can be utilized in formulating a spray schedule. |
