Reactions of N'-[2-Oxo-5-R-furan-3(2H)-ylidene]acylhydrazides with Primary and Secondary Alcohols

Reactions of primary and secondary alcohols with N '-[2-oxo-5-R-furan-3(2 H )-ylidene]acylhydrazides resulted in the furan ring decylization to form 2-[2-(arylcarbonyl)hydrazinylidene]-4-alkyl esters of R-4-oxobutanoic acids.
