Summary:The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of loading of cylinders made of the type VZhM8 singlecrystal alloy which is used in the production of gas-turbine blades. Two orientations of the load axis in plane (001) are considered. In both cases, the load axes coincide with the [001] direction, the other two coordinate axes are in (001) plane. It is shown that the rotation of the coordinate system leads to the modification of physical-and-mechanical properties of the single crystal in different directions, including its auxetic behavior.
