Summary: | Fluorinated carbon nanocages were prepared using plasma treatment and were tested electrochemically in primary Li/CFx batteries. A systematic increase of F/C ratio and specific capacity was obtained with an increase in fluorination time. For the highest fluorinated material (x = 0.98), the specific capacity reached 850 mA h g−1, i.e., the theoretical value predicted for this composition. |
