Summary:This paper aims to understand the evolution of project management trends over the years by analysing publications related to project management trends. A narrative approach of the qualitative research method was adopted to connect ideas together through an identification of a sequence of events that happened from these publications so as to understand the evolution of project management trends. This method would be appropriate as the study aims to share key fi ndings and insights from past publications largely from scholars in the academic field, that will be useful and beneficial to practitioners from the industries as well.
