Summary:In Danbury, Connecticut, a convocation was sponsored and organized by the Association of Religious Communities (ARC), which had grown up out of what was the Danbury Council of Churches. Sam Deibler and Mike Coburn of ARC saw the potential of a future search to mobilize and engage the congregations. In this approach, they could start with the congregations and work with them to build an agenda and commitment which ARC could support and help them achieve. What took place at the convocation as well as how the design team proceeded from there is discussed.
