Description
Summary:This article consists on a simulation study of the dynamic thermal behavior of a room with a single thermal zone. Two climate zones are considered: Casablanca recognized by its humid climate (zone 1) and Khouribga city recognized by its dry climate (zone 3). The main objective of this work is to compare numerically the heating and cooling demands of hollow brick as a common construction material with different types of insulation. Also, the pumice stone is studied. Different scenarios are analyzed and discussed to suggest solutions to minimize energy consumption needs.
