Description
Summary:Reduction of chloroauric acid with DNA in neutral aqueous medium has been systematically studied by means of electron absorption spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The reduction has afforded ultrasmall gold nanoparticles (diameter of 1 nm), which exhibit excellent stability and perfect catalytic properties in the model reaction of p -nitrophenol reduction.
