The premise of the program is that those contemplating or entering remarriage should examine certain issues, especially making explicit each partners' expectations for how family roles should be played. The program is designed to help couples learn about role expectations and potential role strain and stress resulting from a remarriage situation. A brief synopsis of the theoretical orientation is presented, as well as a discussion concerning the implementation and evaluation of such a program.
