Multistate Outbreak of Listeriosis—United States, 2000
Since May 2000, 29 illnesses caused by a strain of Listeria monocytogenes have been identified in 10 states. An investigative report of the outbreak is presented, which links these cases of listeriosis to eating deli turkey meat. A CDC editorial note is included.
