Summary:The paper is devoted to the description of the mathematical model of a linear magnetoelectric drive for testing the viscoelastic properties of elastomers, and also to a research of dynamic characteristics of the linear magnetoelectric motor in the mode of providing a given clamping force on the prototype. The paper is an attempt to introduce in the general mathematical model of magnetoelectric drive equations based on multi-loop equivalent circuit of a prototype of the elastomer. Parameters of modulus of elasticity, modulus of viscosity, tangent of angle of mechanical losses are determined on the basis of simulation results. These results were compared with experimental data obtained using the developed laboratory stand for testing the rheological properties of elastomers.
