Summary: | This paper aims to reduce inventory levels in the production process as well as to minimize the defective ratios resulting in these processes. This article presents the general use model with a special case. In the general use model, ratios of defectives have been taken at all workstation under consideration as well as the impact of the total cost function of the product. In the special case, the impact of the defective ratios is reduced. It means that the batch size was produced without defects (neglecting the defective ratios) and the impact rates of defective in the batch size. The paper also presented the analytical variations regarding defective rates changing to be fixed at all stages and measuring their impact on the batch size and the total cost of the product. Before that, recycling has been taken into consideration at all workstation under study and then analyzed by the program written. The model in the special case is more efficient, and it reduces costs, while it also reduces the size of the production cycle. |
