Description
Summary:The effect of anisotropy and shear strains on the performance of piezoelectric sensors and actuators in active damping of the resonance vibrations of a hinged rectangular plate is studied. To model the vibrations of the plate, Timoshenko’s hypotheses are used. The analytical solution of the problem is obtained by Fourier’s method. Formulas for the voltage that should be applied to the actuators to balance the mechanical load are derived. Similar formulas are obtained for the sensor voltage. Formulas for the damping coefficient for the case of using both sensors and actuators for active damping of the resonant vibrations of the plate are presented.
