Spontaneous rupture of spleen during peripheral blood stem-cell mobilisation in a healthy donor

A case of splenic rupture in a healthy donor during peripheral blood stem-cell mobilization is presented. This procedure, although generally believed to be safe, can carry potentially fatal complications.
