D101 MECHANISTIC AND TRANSLATIONAL STUDIES IN COPD: The Role Of Dicer In Alveolar Macrophages And Dendritic Cells In Smoke-Induced Inflammation

RESULTS Cigarette smoke exposure in control mice resulted in an increase in the number of cells in BAL fluid, caused by elevated numbers of neutrophils, macrophages, DCs (both CD11b+ DCs and CD103+ DCs), CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes. CONCLUSIONS Absence of DICER in CD11c+ alveolar macrophages and den...

Description
Summary:RESULTS Cigarette smoke exposure in control mice resulted in an increase in the number of cells in BAL fluid, caused by elevated numbers of neutrophils, macrophages, DCs (both CD11b+ DCs and CD103+ DCs), CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes. CONCLUSIONS Absence of DICER in CD11c+ alveolar macrophages and dendritic cells alters inflammatory responses in BAL fluid, lung and lymph nodes upon CS-exposure in mice.
