Summary:The management of major psychiatric conditions during pregnancy is exceptionally difficult. Pharmacoresistant, life-threatening and severe symptoms such as catatonia and suicidal behavior, affecting the health and safe of both mother and child. In such cases, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) may be considered as an alternativeto pharmacolgic treatment. In this report, we presented anesthetic management for a patient with 13 week pregnant who underwent ECT due to major depression.
