Potential Role of Nasal Tissue Derived Alternaria-specific IgE in the Pathogenesis of Polyposis

Rationale To elucidate role of fungal pathogens in the etiology of nasal polyposis, we have examined the relationship between the presence and level of Alternaria-specific IgE antibodies, eosinophilic inflammation and the development of nasal polyps (NP).
