Summary:Platinum bearing duniteclinopyroxenitegab bro complexes of the Urals have attracted the attention of researchers for a long time and are currently being studied in detail. In addition, despite the increasing volume of information, the conditions of petrogenesis of these associations are still debatable. Of special importance are the problems of the formation of dunite controlling chromiteplatinum mineralization. The problems of genesis of these ultrabasic rocks were considered in numerous papers; most of them contain data on the significant role of magmatic processes in crystallization of dunite. At the same time, most published papers providing evidence for the magmatic nature of dunites from zoned platinum bearing complexes of the Urals practically do not con tain direct proofs of the participation of high temperature silicate melts.
