Deformation of a shaped pulse in amplifying systems with an expanding light beam
An analysis is made of the deformation of a shaped pulse in amplifying systems without spatial filtering and with a limited breakup integral. A law is found for the expansion of a light beam sufficient to ensure the absence of surface damage to the series-connected amplifying stages.
