Summary:This paper presents some implementation possibilities of a speech recognition system for the languages Hungarian and Serbian. The system is integrated in an interactive toy for preschool age children that uses voice command. The development of this system is currently at its initial stages, but it shows some potential for application as a speech recognition system for Hungarian and Serbian. The system uses neural networks. The system is especially promising as the toy is aimed at young learners who benefit from interactive learning.
