Description
Summary:This work presents and analyzes converter switching strategies in order to achieve higher efficiency and better current waveforms of a hysteresis current control for a high power and low cost three-phase and three-level active AC-DC rectifier. The rectifier consists of an alternative converter composed by two active semiconductors switches and four power diodes per phase. It implies in a good voltage and current quality and lower maintenance and acquisition costs. One advantage of this topology is that it allows the use of a large variety of command techniques with different switching strategies. The present work will focus on the study and evaluation of alternative pulse commands of the hysteresis current controller. The study is conducted through simulation and experiments. The results obtained reinforce and confirm the proposed ideas.
