Description
Summary:This paper is focused in to identify a laminator for manufacturing vinyl tile, powered by a direct current motor with a load torque applied on rolling mill, before starting the operation. The approach is based in the use of first order Model of Volterra-Laguerre (VLM) and based in this criterion the laminator system is then identified by using input-output data obtained from the system. For this purpose a set of Orthogonal Functions contained in a finite Basis (OBF), were used to represent the Volterra kernels, such that the nonlinearities and changes in the "time varying system" were tracked faithfully. Finally, the number of Volterra kernels is strongly reduced, thereby yielding a model much more tractable.
