Control of light collapse in magnetooptical Kerr media

Theoretical and experimental demonstration of light collapse control in magnetooptical bulk Kerr media is presented. The tunable interplay between magnetically induced birefringences is achieved via a combination of the Cotton-Mouton and Faraday effects.
