Description
Summary:This report presents the results of an extensive survey of electric utility practices for synchronizing a generator to the power system. The survey was constructed to collect data defining the present electric utility practice of synchronizing, the types of schemes used, why they were selected, and how they have performed. The survey also collected data detailing the number of machines equipped with a manual, semiautomatic, or automatic synchronizing scheme. This data is categorized by generator prime mover type and load classification.
