Summary: | In STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses, mathematics is a key discipline in undergraduate courses. The calculus discipline is usually presented in the first semesters of the course. During the development of this discipline, the students report many difficulties related to the understanding of the new concepts presented. With the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, many institutions of higher education moved to emergency online classes where educators and students should adapt to online laboratories and to a different way of study. After these emergency classes educators and institutions become aware of the importance of computational educational tools to provide support to the learning process. This work analyzes the use oa a computational tool for students that study multivariable calculus and how this increase theyr geometrical visualization of tridimensional surfaces. |
