Description
Summary:Nowadays, a cutting-edge technology for energy storage systems which is becoming useful in many different application scenarios is represented by hybrid supercapacitors (SC). Before using such innovative technology in an actual application, it is crucial to accurately characterize the device under the real operating conditions that it will have to endure. In this regard, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements stand out as one of the most effective approaches for such investigations. As a matter of fact, the impedance of a supercapacitor is significantly influenced by the operating temperature and the actual State-Of-Charge (SOC). Aiming at this research field, in this work, an impedance analysis of a hybrid SC as a function of temperature and SOC over an extremely broad frequency range between 1 mHz and 100 kHz is presented. The results serve as a valuable resource for examining impedance anomalies and understanding the impact of temperature and SOC on the impedance's variation analyzing the effects of one variable condition as a function of the other.
