Description
Summary:This work presents the doctoral research for the design of a meta-architecture for Internet of Things platforms, that addresses the interoperability challenges and the complexity in building IoT solutions. To conduct this work, Design Science Research is used, with a detailed and precise methodology. The main result is a meta-architecture for IoT platforms, that can be used to quickly design a concrete IoT platform made up of existing software components. It is expected that this work can advance the knowledge about requirements, architecture, components and interoperability in IoT platforms and produce a practical result that allows building IoT solutions in an easier and faster way.
