Description
Summary:Data management holds critical importance in preserving and maximizing the potential of technological knowledge and information in today's world. Within the scope of the Information and Communication Technologies, HAVELSAN develops global solutions and products to ensure meaningful data evaluation and shed light on the future. This study focuses on the development and implementation of the ODAK Data Management System by HAVELSAN Information and Communication Technologies, aiming to provide an effective data management solution for an organization with an 11 TB data size and centralize different database management systems, enabling 200,000 transactions per second by various users. ODAK has been designed and developed using the "Database as a Service (DBaaS)" architecture, with a specific focus on managing PostgreSQL database systems. The platform leverages open-source technologies to deliver high performance, scalability, and backup capabilities, while allowing users to manage software, hardware, and operating system components from a single platform. ODAK's optimized hardware utilization and capabilities have resulted in a 57% cost savings in the organization's database management costs, providing a cost effective approach. The concrete evidence demonstrates that ODAK presents a robust alternative in the industry and enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of database management processes.
