Summary:A multidisciplinary research work on Electronic Document was used in the call for this issue of the journal. It is summarized in this introduction, namely its three approaches on the form, the text and the medium. The eleven selected articles are briefly presented. They propose to develop different modeling, to point changing between traditional and electronic document and to show the change in progress on different fields. This work in progress have already showed real results and consequently must be continued.
