Summary:Breast cancer is a heterogeneous group of tumors with similar diagnostic, but different prognostic proles that can be subdivided on the basis of histopathological features, genetic alterations, and gene-expression proles. The WHO has dened a wide range of histopathological subtypes of invasive breast cancer and classified these carcinomas into 19 categories, most of which are quite rare.
