Description
Summary:Within the framework of the Bose–Einstein condensation (BEC) model, the possibility of tunneling of pairs of the Cooper pairs (the Bose 4 e condensate) through Josephson junctions (JJ) in exotic superconductors is analyzed. It is demonstrated that the 4 e supercurrent transport through the JJ leads to a deviation of the supercurrent from the standard harmonic pattern. Based on the hypothesis of 4 e supercurrent transport, the occurrence of half-integer Shapiro steps on the JJ volt-ampere characteristic (VAC) with unharmonic current–phase relationship (CPR) under application of HF or microwave signals and the occurrence of pseudo-minima in the supercurrent dependence on the magnetic flux normalized by fluxoid is interpreted at half-integer Ф Ф 0 values.
