Description
Summary:We reported a late-pregnancy woman with pre-XDR PTB who had not received regular anti-tuberculosis treatment prior to delivery. Despite this, she successfully delivered a premature baby who exhibited normal growth and development, and subsequently completed her anti-tuberculosis treatment. This report suggests that delayed treatment for pre-XDR TB during late pregnancy does not necessarily increase the risk of treatment failure for the mother or the risk of neonatal tuberculosis.
