Description
Summary:In order to optimize the viewing chord arrangement of the poloidal polarimeter in International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), we studied the sensitivity between the toroidal current profile and the viewing chord position. The current profile is scanned around the ITER operation scenario which is estimated as one of burning plasma operations. The sensitive viewing chords to distinguish changes of the central toroidal current density, the finite beta effect and the magnetic shear, are shown. The physical mechanisms of those sensitivities are also shown.
