Summary: | Important problems of generation and forming electron beams in electrode systems of a high-voltage glow discharge are discussed. Also considered are dependencies of energetic parameters on the formed electron beam as well as on anode plasma parameters from the discharge voltage and current. Examples are given of some up-to-date and advanced possibilities of using high-voltage, glow-discharge electron beam sources for achieving different technological operational modes. Output characteristics of elaborate vaporization and welding equipment are discussed as well. |
