Waveguide-to-Stripline Transition Design in Millimeter-Wave Band for 5G Mobile Communication

Summary: | A novel low-cost, millimeter-wave (mmWave) waveguide-to-stripline transition has been presented. The structure has a stripline configuration with a dual-resonant patch with two feed lines that act as both a transition and a power divider. This structure allows easy integration into mmWave systems due to the compact nature of the design. Good agreement achieved between the simulated and measured results shows that the proposed transition is suitable for mmWave applications. The transition achieves an impedance bandwidth of 22% from 24 to 30 GHz. |
