Description
Summary:Abstract In the proposed special session experts in epidemiology, chronobiology and occupational medicine, will present human evidence on night work and chronic disease risk and infections, identify methodological challenges and unknowns in shift work occupational and molecular epidemiology e.g. the role of individual susceptibility, and discuss how to move forward in etiological research to provide conclusive evidence for preventive actions. Results from night shift work interventions directed towards the organization and the individual to reduce health and safety risks will also be discussed. Particular focus will be on the success and barriers for implementation of interventions based on so far gathered experiences.
