Summary: | In this paper, a simple broadband cross-junction balun is presented to realize the unbalance to balance transition from microstrip line to slotline. Overlapped elliptical stubs and multisection matching transformer with unequal section lengths are applied to achieve the desired broadband performance. The proposed configuration is simulated and experimentally studied. Both results validate the design concept, indicating that the transition is capable of working in a 22:1 bandwidth. |
