Intercontinental disjunction in Alaskaperla (Plecoptera: Chloroperlidae)
Genus Alaskaperla is shown to include two species and be widely disjunct on both sides of the Pacific ocean. A. ovibovis (Ricker, 1965 ) occurs in Alaska, A. longidentata (Raušer, 1965 ) in Mongolia. Characters distinguishing males of the two similar species are described and illustrated.
