Description
Summary:The temperature and concentration dependencies of viscosity (v) of liquid alloys of binary Al-Ni and Al-Co systems, with the Al content of more than 90 at.% have been studied (from here on the alloying element concentration is given in at.%). It has been found that the viscosity polytherms of the melts containing 2.7% to 5% of Ni and 0.01% to 1.5% of Co deviate from the Arrhenius dependence. The non-monotonic dependencies of viscosity and the energy of viscous flow activation of the Al-Ni melts and the liquid Al-Co melts in the vicinity of the liquidus line on the alloying element concentration have been obtained.
