Summary:	Started from the uncertain information which is contained in the thesis. this paper proposed a method which is used for the evaluation of dissertation based on an unascertained rational number. First, the dissertation analyzes the evaluation index system, and calculates index weights by using AHM. Then make a quantitative description of uncertain information using rational number. An establishment of evaluation index system based on unascertained rational number has been made. Finally, results of the evaluation obtained by using unascertained rational algorithms,. On this basis, science and effectiveness of this method has been proved through case study.
