Summary:The mechanical properties (strength and ductility) and corrosion resistance (exfoliation and stress cracking in NaCl solutions) were determined for V92ts Al-Zn-Mg alloy in both the artificially and naturally-aged conditions. The optimum combination of strength and corrosion resistance was obtained by long term natural aging rather than by overaging.
