Summary: | Alginate Hydrogel Microbeads
In article number 2204139, Hiroaki Onoe and co‐workers present near‐infrared (NIR) triggered on‐demand adeno‐associated virus (AAV) release from alginate microbeads with heat transducer for gene therapy. The heat transducer encapsulated in microbeads generate heat under NIR‐irradiation. Subsequently, AAV release from the microbeads could be controlled on‐demand by the generated heat. In addition, the released AAV is gene‐transferred into cultured cell maintaining its activity. |
