Summary:This knowledge-sharing paper endeavours to demonstrate the usefulness of PPCP (Public Private Community Partnership) models to effectively address the problems of drinking water and sanitation in developing countries with a view to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by the year 2015. Community participation in provision of drinking water services is transforming the quality of lives of the people in rural areas of West Tripura District, India and providing safe and quality drinking water to the rural poor at affordable costs.
